Sweet Cestnuts

Found whilst walking past the park in the village.

Like horse chestnuts or conkers I love to see them at this time of year and can’t resist collecting a few. I collected some conkers for the girls on our last visit to Bath, there were lots on the drive to Bailbrook House when I walked back that way from the bus.
Not sure how interested the girls were in them but it’s good that they know what they are.

A very strange day today. Really warm but also damp with spasmodic drizzly rain. A bit like a sauna! An interesting start to October.
