Soggy Alfred

A slight domestic crisis occurred at bedtime past night.
Our bath has ( had) an unnecessarily complicated plug , with a rotating dial to raise and lower it, prone to getting stuck. We usually have showers so it’s not a problem. Yesterday the grandchildren had a bath. The plug got stuck. LooseCanon prised it  undone and in doing so pulled the whole thing out. Not really his fault just the stupid design of the thing, and working under several inches of water. The water gushed under the bath and through the kitchen and dining room ceilings and light fittings. Just what you want when you’re about to go to bed. 
Many buckets and towels later it was more or less cleared up . Our keyboard is in the dining room and Alfred’s beginners piano course book got a little bit soggy so it’s on the washing line drying slowly.
Today I have been mostly washing towels.
