Kirnielaw Reservoir (1919)

Went for a run with dog in the hills above Innerleithen and dodged my way past the hundreds of mountain bikers competing in the annual Tweedlove Vallelujah event.

On my route I passed this fascinating eyesore, an early pumped hydro scheme that provided free power to mills in Walkerburn down below. It is now long defunct.
