Giant Hogweed

I spotted these skeletal remains on the banks of the River Ure this morning.
Most of them had collapsed to the ground, but this sole survivor stood  at over 2 metres tall.
I thought it might be Cow Parsley, but a bit of internet research tells me it is probably Giant Hogweed, or
Heracleum mantegazzianum.
It was brought to the UK in Victorian times and is found near canals and rivers. It is considered a nuisance and the sap from the weed is said to be quite poisonous and can irritate the skin.
