50 Years of Friendship.

OK, so these were actually taken yesterday ... But very late yesterday!

This is me and my Bestie Marian. We've been firm friends for 50 years. We met through our dogs, and have gone through so much together, highs and the lowest of lows. My girls love her as a second Mum, and after a girly holiday together in Italy she's been called Maz by them ever since!

A few years ago, on a holiday to the US we were checking into a hotel. The two black girls checking us in looked from one of us to the other, then asked "Are you two twins"? We laughed and laughed, and ever since we've called each other 'Twinny'. Funnily enough, J and her late husband also looked alike.

Last night was good, we don't know the final total, but in the region of 5k was raised for the charity 'Scotty's Little Soldiers'. It's an incredible charity that supports bereaved military children, up to the age of 23. There was some very moving videos shown.

I said to Marian " It's testament to her Chris that after 10 years so many still support his family'. But that's the military family for you.

I've added an extra. Kelly and her girls with all the military/ex military people there. I'm sure we were the oldest, and probably the only RAF personal, but I also stood for my late sister who was an Army girl. Very special.
