A Dakota For Bert

Bert was a friend of my parents, my sisters and MrQ, though I hardly knew him. He died last week. He sometimes used to look at my blips. He liked the little birds and the planes but not the bugs. Shame that all of my images posted in the last weeks of his life were bugs.

I decided to take Mishka to North Weald to see if we could find a plane to post in his memory. He had been in the RAF and loved aircraft. Nothing in the air but there were two Dakotas outside The Squadron. I've posted the DC-3 Skytrain Drag-'em-oot  as I was able to get a clear view of it. It saw action during D-Day in Operation Varsity.
