Cows at Hurst Farm
I've wanted to take a photo of the cows at Hurst Farm for ages but they've never been in the field when motoring past. In the last two weeks they've been out more frequently in the afternoon, and so it was today. But they hadn't lined up considerately on the horizon as I would have wished. Perhaps another time.
We were returning from Olivia's at The Outwoods where we'd enjoyed latte and cake and Len had taken Basil for a run. We met Harry and Sophie on the way in. Harry looks after our pond for us. I told him I was very interested in having a non-slip path created from the conservatory to the pond. He's promised to look into it.
Then Fred passed us on his way into the café with his stepson Chris. We had a bit of chat. He told us that the Moon and Bell in Loughborough is likely to close because the landlord has raised the rent. It's a Wetherspoons. You'd have thought Tim Martin could have afforded a rent increase.
Rugby on TV. Personally I'd have preferred to watch David Tennant in the RSC production of Hamlet on BBC 4.
