Monmouth House, Lymington

Late morning decided to go to Lymington. Took the bus there, takes over 1 1/2 hours. Strolled around the town, past the beautiful Grade 2 listed house & garden blipped. Had a drink and snack in the very pleasant Stanwell hotel, and walked down to the Quay.

Everywhere was quiet, presumably as several shops are closed on Monday. After a couple of hours, took the train back.

Changed train at Brockenhurst. First train cancelled at the last minute (rail strike on), luckily another came within 20 minutes. The platform was full of noisy school kids, several smoking weed. Not one offered us a seat. Luckily one got up to chat to his mate, so quickly grabbed it before he returned :)
