Morning walk

I was woken up by a member of staff texting me to say that she wasn't well enough to go to work and a colleague would be in her own in the library with four class visits. It is my day off but I was prepared to go in except that SparseRunner needed the car and Django needed to be walked first. In the end I contacted my manager and I assume that it got sorted, because I asked her to let me know if she needed me and I have not heard from her.
So I took Django for a longer walk in the estate and along the river. It was a beautiful morning. The trees are starting to turn and the light had that beautiful quality that makes autumn mornings special.
Back home, I had an easy day, sorting photos, writing my diary and doing some tidying up until it was time to go to Portobello for an evening row. There were two beginners in the crew so we spent quite a bit of time doing drills and talking about technique. After that, I went to see my friend Catherine for a wee chat before coming back home.
Thanks for your good wishes yesterday. I am feeling much better - yesterday's rest must have done the trick.
