So close

It was supposed to be a beautiful sunny warm day today, but instead it was overcast and muggy with the sun always off in the distance. My moods seem to coincide with the weather. I feel a bit bogged down and fragile today. FK has gone to a mates and MrK is quiet. He always seems this way at the end of the season, when he's got his wknds back and feels so shattered. There is a transition period. I encouraged him to come and see his mum and dad. They wanted their house gutters checked and cleared. We were there for a couple of hours, with coffee and chat, before going down to Osea for a swim. Tide was still coming in and very high, so I managed to get in quickly, swim to the buoy and back, dry and dress before there was no beach left. The distant sun looked beautiful, sparkling on the water.
