Magic tree

I bought this ornamental tree 8 months ago. I water it everyday ( even when it rains ). It is the first thing I look at every morning when I wake up and the sight of it has a charming influence on me. I love it because of its beautiful leaves which keep on spreading out like the plumage of a peacock. Thus I often talk to it assuring it of my unwavering love and concern for its needs. I am yet to verify its scientific name but judging from its leaves I guess it belongs to the family of palms. Hopefully I will live long enough to see this beauty growing into a big tree.
