Heading back to North Bay

Sunday morning breakfast, and the start of the Great Repack, as half of the northern family leaves Ottawa to go home. C and his mum are both staying in the hospital for the time being, which isn't ideal, but when your healthcare model is insufficient and underfunded, people suffer. As the Conservative provincial government move us ineluctably towards privatisation, it might be better to start paying more attention to the human costs - rather than the financial costs. Once we start dealing with environmental change costs, money will become irrelevant anyway. C has had some leakage from the operation - which might require a shunt, so we wait with bated breath.

Once they had left, we set about a big clean, doing numerous loads of laundry (towels, sheets, flannels etc. seem to multiply exponentially when guests are around) and preparing a quiet dinner. The 2 As are great, but peace is nice too, occasionally.

Still seething about yesterday's game - to the extent that I have been nowhere near the Internet.
