Not Sure again

What this is, my friend gave me some seeds last year
I planted them and they grew to about a foot, but didn't
flower, this year they are 3 ft tall and have lots of buds
it reminds me of Hollyhock a bit, but I don;t think it is.
Last night we had about 2 hours darkness it was hard
trying to get to sleep, and at 3am it was light again, I do
have blackout blinds but they let in a little light, I may
invest in some eye pads & ear thingys !!!!!!!!!!
It's been not a bad day, but not as sunny as yesterday
and now it's trying to rain, the ground needs it I just hope
it remembers to stop :-)
