The last Saturday in September has, since 2015, been designated as 'World Cyanotype Day'. I'm not sure that the world needs such a day but an online exhibition seems well intentioned. This year's theme is 'Inheritance'. I was away in Norfolk so couldn't make a cyanotype on the day but have  produced this one today. Its called 'Home' and was inspired by the poem (of the same name) about refugees by the British-Somali poet Warsan Shire which includes the line "No one puts their children in a boat unless the water is safer than the land". I made it using various bits from our recycling box.
