The Woodland Garden (Tuesday 3rd October 2023)

I managed to kill off three young acers last Spring, after having got them through the harsh winter. I ordered two more to replace them and they arrived today. They were supposed to be different varieties but there was a problem with one so they are both Acer Palmatum Atropurpureums.

I potted them both up today and so this is one of them.

It has been an exasperating day and I have cancelled the plans I had for tomorrow to deal with matters arising.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Beatles - Little Child (recorded 3 October 1963, Abbey Rd, London)
Recorded 60 years ago to the day, this was the Beatles' first piano led recording and features John Lennon's harmonica. It was intended to be Ringo's vocal for the album With The Beatles and was their second attempt at recording it, but in the end the main vocal was by John, with Paul duetting behind him and playing piano. George Harrison plays the bass part on his 6-string guitar.
