Spotty

Woke up early and disappointed to find I hadn’t won anything on Premium Bonds this month (for first time this year!) but managed to be on the road by 7.30am. Came the western route so stopped at Tebay for a sausage roll and one of their giant oat and chocolate cookies. Very straightforward drive listening all the way to the next book group book The Dictionary of Lost Words and spent the afternoon with P, punching holes in old tax returns for him then filing them (goodness knows why, but no point explaining he doesn’t need to keep all the old webpage printouts etc).
Lots of phone calls between social care, ambulance transport and social workers, mainly getting nowhere on finalising his move. Couldn’t get through to the carehome but probably called at a mealtime. I’ll try again tomorrow.
Quick chat with T before he went to work and some cuddles with Heston on the sofa this evening for BakeOff whilst texting backwards and forwards with LL.
