Glasgow (Monday)

There should be a photo of Ben as he is 13 today but didn’t see him till evening when I took him his present and card and didn’t take a photo (terrible)!

What you have is a photo of me in Glasgow at the Necropolis. We got the train at 10:20 to Queen Street. Went to Spitfire Coffee for great coffee and a proper good roll with bacon and fried egg with brown sauce! Delicious. We then had a walk following some of the Street Art we hadn’t seen before from Smug and Rogue One - brilliant.

Next we went to Glasgow Cathedral which I hadn’t been to ! It was stunning inside with gorgeous Stain glass windows. Next and next to the cathedral, the Necropolis a Victorian cemetery , another place hadn’t been to either . Quite fascinating gravestones, John Knox statue, pre dates the cemetery and sits atop the hill. As it sits on a hill there are fabulous views over Glasgow. It’s a fascinating place to wander.

We were in need of a cuppa before getting the train home. Today was the first day that off peak fares have been abandoned so we got the 4:45 train back to Perth.

Walked up to see Ben. They are excited about Florida on Saturday . We have still to get our holiday sorted!
