parkrun day - and it’s only Tuesday!

Well, the main reason for our short trip to Cologne was to be here for German Unity Day, when some of the German parkruns put on an extra event. We made it along to Rheinpark parkrun this morning and the visitors (mainly Brits) swelled the numbers from the usual 20-30 participants to almost 200. Despite this, everything ran very smoothly and efficiently, with quite a few of the visitors helping out, especially with scanning at the end. My blip shows Chris getting his finish token as he crossed the finish line. The first extra of the two of us was taken by another Scottish parkrunner just before the start.

My second extra, following on from yesterday’s exterior shot, shows the interior of the mighty Cologne Cathedral which we visited this afternoon.
