Fouesnant
Skyped my wonderful best university friend Claire today, followed by my oldest home friend, Tim. Was amazing to actually find the time to be able to catch up with the two of them...it seems like an absolute age since I saw or spoke to either of them. Very happy to say that the two of them are very well, and seemed still happy to see me after so long. Sometimes it is seeing those old, and good, friends that makes you realise just how lucky you are to have your life the way it is.
Finally finished the planned cleans, and then cycled to Fouesnant (downhill all the way, flat on the way back as we used the coastal path!) which is a pretty little village with an awesome Boulangerie Artisanale, selling amazing desserts and different types of bread (chocolat blanc, cranberry et noisettes anyone?). Had our lunch overlooking the bay, with the tide out, when I spotted this beautiful looking swan gliding up on of the streams of water left behind by the tide. Our evening was spent with our two families on site...first two glasses of red with one, and playing dolls with Evie; and the second, two glasses of white, two beers and a few games of cards. Didn't get back in until late, not sure whether an early start will be occurring tomorrow!
You live longer once you realise that any time spent being unhappy is time wasted.
