Tully, the wettest place in Australia

We visited the "Golden Gumboot" today (Leigh is seen checking out the view from the top). This "tourist attraction" notes that Tully is the wettest place in Australia with 7900mm (311 inches) of rain having fallen in 1950. The area has an average annual rainfall of 4490mm. The gumboot has been built to the height the 7900mm record. This tropical area seems to have rain most days (especially in the afternoons).....
