Pleading with dad…

…to watch a 11minute show on their iPad. They prevailed. In the extra is a a creature we do not remember ever seeing before, a Luna moth caterpillar. The children found it in the yard. The Luna moths are large, with a wingspan of over 4 inches, they don’t have a mouth for eating, but survive on the energy stored in the caterpillar stage. They live a few days with the sole purpose of mating. Very interesting moth. We’ve never seen the moths either.
