A helicopter gunship passing over us

For the last few days a pair of possibly AH-64 APACHE attack helicopters have flown low over our house and away across the valley.On a couple of days another pair followed some minutes later. Each time I was caught by surprise and didn't have access to a camera.

Today I was standing in the garden and managed to get this shot of one of them in the distance as it flew over Minchinhampton Common. I wondered whether they were on a training mission bringing 'special' soldiers from their training headquarters in Herefordshire to the Wiltshire Plain. Each day they seemed to returned in pairs once again in the late afternoon.
