That time of year again
Tomorrow is the annual Dragon Boat festival in China which means it's time to eat "zongzi" aka sticky rice wrapped in tea leaves and mixed all kinds of different ingredients. Here you can see the duck eggs and hunks of pork which are at the center of this 5 hr. to boil ancient recipe. There's an entire legend about how these came about but to me, they always remind me of my late grandma "popo" because she would make a whole batch of these each summer and distribute them out to our family. Such good memories with every bite. Hmmm hmm!
