Small Potatoes (Not!)

Mrs I and I took Hollie dog for a very pleasant walk along the Corvedale this morning. It was sunny warm and breezy. We traced a path along the six fields between the pub in Aston Munslow and the church in Munslow village.

The third field was laid to maize this time last year.

But this year it is a field of potatoes, nearly ready to plunder harvest.

We got home and I found several potatoes lodged in my turnups, how strange!  And they are massive! Is this still  called scrumping? I am glad I had a shower before we went out, so if I get challenged I can make a clean getaway.

I wonder what we will have for supper this evening....
