The Roses Are Still Blooming

But it’s so hot and dry and still. Not a breeze anywhere. Temperature peaked at 90 this afternoon, which is unusual this close to the ocean. I hate to think how hot it was inland. There are lots of warnings—stay hydrated, stay in air-conditioned places, etc etc. I did a little gardening early in the day  before the sun hit, but that was it for me.
