Scattered showers

This is neon artwork by Matthew Barnes and at the moment is exhibited in The Travelling Gallery Art Bus. There are eight other artists exhibiting work in the bus, among them David Shrigley.

Barnes' piece is titled 'Weathered' and is a reference to our fascination with the weather in the UK. He says "Weather is omnipresent in our daily lives. So often scorned, it is really something to be cherished because of its influential role in shaping our island identities." But as Billy Connolly once said "There is no such thing as bad weather - only the wrong clothes."
