Located south of Harlingen,a good place for birdlovers. Countless wading and meadow birds come together here. The Hegewiersterfjild is an important breeding area where godwits, redshanks, oystercatchers and lapwings moor in large numbers in the spring. In addition, the high-water refuge in the nature reserve serves as a resting place for various wading birds. And ofcourse for cows.
