Clematis heracleifolia

A garden surprise! I was poking about in the border wondering if there was anything I could get on with, given how wet the ground is. Then I saw something blue….. my herbaceous tube clematis. I moved it from a very shady position hoping it would do better, and it has managed a few flowers! It’s a plant I have had for many years but it has never got going, perhaps there is some hope now. It’s meant to grow to 75cm so maybe next year?
