The big green machine

As they call it at Home Depot. Gosh what a day. Dan had picked up the bales of cellulose (20) yesterday. Today he went back and picked up the blower and the hoses.
We got things set up around noon and then Dan had to cut a bunch of holes in the studio to blow the insulation into. That took longer (of course) than we were planning. It always does. But we got the floor, all four sides, and the roof done. And a little bit in the farmhouse bathroom that has an outside wall that needed some insulation. We used 12 bales and one old bale left over from when Dan insulated where we are living now about 9 years ago...lol. It was still good to use.
The insulation is a bunch of recycled paper and borax to keep bugs out. I could see pieces of words and one word... Mott's on a tiny piece. There was all sorts of weird things in there but it worked. I was the bale stuffer and Dan did the blowing. I used ear plugs, a mask and eye protection and we used a whistle to let me know when to stop and start.
We finally finished about 5:30 and now Dan is hauling it all back to Ellsworth. We only had it for 24 hours.
Now for a shower and some food!!
