Henley on Thames

Nearly 10 hours after leaving Edinburgh, after a visit to Lancaster, we arrived in Henley-on-Thames near to where my brother and his wife live. We drove through low cloud and heavy rain in the Borders with spray from the road making vehicles quickly disappear out of sight. There were waves of stop start on the M6, and slow moving traffic on the M42. And a closed road (water repairs) near our final destination.

Overall thought the trip passed off smoothly and we had a lovely meal and catch up.

The evening light on the Thames was lovely to see.

We also had news of another family birth - a boy - from Tuesday - one of our nieces. Great news.
