Petrol Station

I have lived here for more than thirty years and have often noticed how this petrol station, with its illuminated forecourt, stands out against the evening sky close to sunset. It has often occured to me that there ought to be an interesting photograph here. However, tonight is the first time that I have attempted a shot of it.

To be fair, the sunset tonight was not ideal, and the scene did not look as attractive as I have seen it, but it was getting late and I still didn't have a blip. I hope to come back sometime when the sky and the colours are more attractive, and when I'm less hurried; perhaps then I will take some more care over the photograph and composition.
