2023 Wednesday — The Pups

Almost every afternoon we head up our backyard path to the patio to enjoy the late afternoon wonder that we find there.

I always grab the bag of chew bones for the pups, Chloe and Mitzi, and a couple of their towels for them to lay on. They know this routine and love it. A piece of artificial turf can be seen on the ground; it is leftover from the nice big side yard that we had installed in summer of 2016. The ground cover on the upper patios is a black gravel that was beautiful a year ago when Mercado and his men installed it, but it quickly looks more gray than black and too much of it gets carried into the house. Cement pavers would have been nice, but a year ago we had already spent too much money and pavers were pricey.

Today was a stay home day and we enjoyed our “staying” immensely.
