Fragility

A positive discharge planning meeting at the hospital this morning. Just need to get the care package finalised (likely to be another couple of weeks yet) and then we can give it a try. I’m hoping that it works effectively, though J’s mobility and balance seems to be declining week by week so it’s always going to be a bit of a risk. And dementia is a progressive condition so even if it works as planned it’s not going to work for ever. I think J’s accepted that he will need to stay downstairs (as it’s a bungalow with a dormer extension there’s a bedroom and a bathroom downstairs) which will reduce some risks.
