Tree magnolia seed pod

There weren't a lot of flowers to spot today while we went to two other houses for the elderly. But I did spot a tree filled with these seed pods. It did look familiar  and of course it should be as this is a seedpod of a magnolia grandiflora, a big tree magnolia, certainly a relative of or own garden magnolias.
