Arrival. (Day 15)

And so we arrive in Mourão, find our way through town and bounce up the track to the home of amandoAlenteja and Mikedetrapia. It’s been a warm drive and the further into Alentejo we drive the more arid it looks. It is rather warm - 34C, but I’m not complaining since back home there was a frost this morning, so a little extra warmth stretches out the summer.
It was so lovely to meet up with aA and Mike and catch up on the news and see the changes in their home and garden. A lot has changed since we last met, and though we see and read about the changes daily on Blip there is no substitute for face to face talking and looking.
We visited Monsaraz, where the sun was just going down and where today’s blip was taken.  The day finished with delicious food, eaten outside in the warm darkness. Life is wonderful!
