Coot Baby

Despite the weather forecast I managed to have my weekly walk around the university campus.

The birds were swooping over the water and I tried to take some photos of them as the reflection was fantastic on the still water. I noticed something move and start to climb a tree. Looked through the camera and spotted a young man up the tree. He had been hidden in the shrubbery fishing. I assume he thought I was taking photos of him so he climbed the tree (as you do) to see what I was doing. Have a suspicion he maybe didn't have a permit. Nearly blipped that.

However, this was a more attractive photo. The coot babies are growing very fast although they are still being fed by their parents.
