Tawaki- Fiordland crested penguin

This cutie was found yesterday on a beach in the Norrh west of the South Island. Very underweight and sporting some nasty wounds after an argument with a shark. It needs stitching, and feeding up. Hopefully we can get it back out on its sea journey. The local courier( mini bus) who does daily trips across the island bought it across- I met him n a local supermarket car park at lunchtime.( things we do!!!). These penguins are seriously threatened.
