Silly Saturday

Our local shopping street underwent a major rejuvenation not long ago (although admittedly probably a little longer than it seems). This included replacing the old uneven paving slabs with very neatly laid new ones.

It seems a shame that no-one seems to have predicted that a new electricity cable would need to be laid now, meaning that it's all had to be dug up again. I guess it does provide employment for the workmen (on the rare occasions when they actually turn up!) but I fear that the paving won't be put back as neatly as it was. Very silly.
