Today we wrapped up our 97-page document for submission to the donor. My fashion choices have not been strong during this heavy work period.

I have some carry-over leave which I need to use before the end of the month. Therefore what better plan could there be than meeting up with the family in Portugal for a holiday à la September 2022.

More than most airports, Dar es Salaam has a slew of middle-of-the-night flights. Therefore I went to the airport ready for a 3am departure. Even though it was around 1am I was near the gate drinking coffee and eating a chicken pasty vaporised in a microwave, allowing the waves of holiday excitement to wash over.
