Chilean guavas

Reputedly a favourite fruit of Queen Victoria's, these robust little evergreen bushes produce plentiful berries every autumn. They look pretty and they have a delicate perfume too. Unlike Queen Vic, I find the taste a bit cloying. So they are the one soft fruit in the garden that I'm happy to leave to the birds and squirrels.
