Slender Bedstraw
I was checking on a colony of Slender Bedstraw, Galium pumilum, today in fine drizzle with the odd sunny period. This nationally rare plant is thriving on a wonderful flower-filled slope of chalk grassland near the nature reserve. I rediscovered this plant there after it had been listed as extinct in the county for many years and the landowner now lets us manage the site to ensure its survival. It is a very delicate plant with tiny white flowers, but as you can see some of the patches are now quite extensive.
