Waking in the afternoon and descending 10000 feet to the living room to find the XBox once again in residence, I quietly slinked into the virtual world for a relaxing flight in a Cessna.
Flying along the Norfolk coast I spotted this fantail like feature and doubled back to take a picture. A search on the web reveals it shares a link to a few recent Blips, in that it is a medium wave transmitter site built in the '70s to beam the BBC World Service to mainland Europe.
After a number of years dormant, more recently in 2017 it has been pressed back into service for Radio Caroline on 648kHz - not very rebelliously these days though, being on the British mainland with a licence from Ofcom.
