Data Entry

As a little genealogist with my own pedigree in the world wide web I use a lot of data coming from databases. Several of those are filled manually from documents.
This week I saw an invite in a newsletter. A genealogy organisation in the Netherlands was looking for volunteers with knowledge of German. 26.500 documents needed to be processed.
Well, I volunteered myself and started today. My first 37 documents are in the system.
The work is relatively easy as long as the document was typed. But there will be others written by hand. That might be quite difficult, if the registrar had a terrible writing.
But this way I can help my fellow genealogists.
