It's Silly Saturday and I'm at Road America (aren't I always?) for a weekend of racing.  The 24 Hours of Lemons is in town. It's a wonderful organization and one of my favorites. It's basically two days of endurance racing for cheap cars.  Last I heard, the cars in the series are limited to an average Internet value not to exceed $500 American...exclusive of safety equipment.  All races last 7 hours and whomever completes the most laps in the allotted time WINS.  And the trophies are something to behold.

These are not your "standard" race cars...but many of them have been painted with brooms and/or adorned with all sorts of decorations to make them stand out.  This one, for example, is outfitted to resemble a flying pig....and it pretty well does.  There's one with an electric light shark fin on the roof. There's one outfitted like a condom.  There's even one with a very large turd on the roof advertising a fertilizer made in Milwaukee from sewage going through the sewer system....it's called Milorganite.....Milwaukee Organic Nitrogen.  It's actually pretty good stuff and is likely the car's sponsor.  It's cheap advertising.....$500 plus tires and oil and fuel.
