First real go at black and white

And what a revelation it is to try black and white, especially on a grey day when there is no real colour.

Spent the morning researching and writing. Looking for birthday present ideas and haggling for a new phone, then writing up notes ready for my next turn at Wittersham Road signal box. Getting close to my passing out turn and I need all the revision and practice I can get.

After lunch we went to the gym, via the Post Office at Grove Green. While the wife was posting a parcel I went to look for possible black and white shots (when I should have been looking for coffeemate) I thought the trolleys had potential and felt this was the most interesting of the selection.

Had a busy evening bottling rhubarb champagne which had been steadily soaking for the past 48 hours. Two weeks to wait to see if it is successful.

Back to the Kent and East Sussex Railway tomorrow, at Cranbrook Road crossing. Have a trainee to supervise so will have more opprtunity to try out black and white shots.
