Rescued

This morning I cut the three biggest dahlia flowers, gently shook off the rain drops, and brought them in. They've survived the pouring rain so far but I didn't want them to get brown and soggy before their time.

I've pulled something in my right hip, first feeling it yesterday, but did manage brief trip out with H to prepare for an event later this week. The rest of the afternoon has mainly been spent on embroidery with a hot water bottle easing the ache.
