Sunday Dinner
I have spent a fair bit of time with my feet up today, just relaxing into the books I borrowed yesterday.
The weather was still wet this morning, but it seems to have dried up now - although there was a sudden downpour about 5pm. Anyway, my outdoor options were limited (to put it mildly).
I made an effort to give myself something good to eat this evening and opened my 1997 Scandinavian cookbook again. This time I made smoked salmon roulades. The recipe calls for kavring as the dark rye bread, but in this part of the world I had no chance of sourcing some.
I made do with sourdough from the Coop.
It all worked well, and the only tricky bit was getting the roulades to stand upright while I put the spring onions on top.
What is in my Blip was not my first attempt...
Of course I made a big mess in the kitchen, so I had better go and sort that out now.
The recipe came from the Bröderna Dahlbom restaurant in Gothenburg. I cannot find anything about it online, but one of the Dahlbom brothers seems to have become a celebrity TV chef.
