Old Tree

Late morning we set off from home with our neighbours and friends, Archie and Jayne on a 30 mile cycle ride up to The Doward Hill fort (the cafe was closed) so we continued on to The Log Cabins in Coleford.

We sat and enjoyed ninety minutes chatting in the sun outside the cafe there before we continued our ride through The Forest of Dean back to Symonds Yat and returned home about 5pm. The ride wasn't without incident where Mrs BB came off on some rough track near Newland and the chain got jammed, freed after a half hour struggle!

The blipfoto is of an old tree on a ridge, taken as I rode along the country lane into Staunton. Extra is a black & white version.

After putting the bikes away and a shower, they were back over our house for after cycle drinks and nibbles. A lovely sunny day in good company.
