At the Art Museum
I should have gone spinning at the Y, but I decided to take in some art instead. There were two new exhibits, both women artists, Constance Fowler who painted from the 30's to the 70's, mostly scenes around Oregon in a variety of styles, and the photographer Holly Andres who is a creepy and successful photographer in the Cindy Sherman genre (at least that is my sense of her).
So I wasn't supposed to take pictures of the new shows, so I took this shot, which was done in the 40,s by Carl Hall. It is a picture of the island in the Willamette River, in the middle of Salem, the location of this museum, my workplace and thus most of my daylight hours.
And that was my art lesson over lunch.
