Autumn.

Song at the Beginning of Autumn (1955):
“Now watch this autumn that arrives In smells.
All looks like summer still;
Colours are quite unchanged,
The air on green and white serenely thrives.
Heavy the trees with growth and full the fields.
Flowers flourish everywhere.”

Elizabeth Jennings

Looking at the garden today under a beautiful mackerel sky, all dotted with white fluffy clouds, roses in abundance in the warm sunshine, brings the illusion of a late summer day.
A haven from the horrors of war.
As another blipper wrote yesterday with great sadness
“There are no words”.
